Fall's Superfood Vegetable

Broccoli Rabe is a Superfood but do you know the right way to cook it? Here is a great way that your family will enjoy!

It's no secret that in my household my favorite vegetable is broccoli rabe (you may know is as bitter broccoli).

This cross between kale and broccoli is a superfood that should be on your dinner table. Broccoli Rabe is packed with all these vitamins and minerals:

Pantothenic Acid, Zinc and Copper, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol),Vitamin K, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Iron,Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Manganese.

Here is the problem. When people attempt to cook broccoli rabe for the first time, they often fail. I see people just cut it up and saute it with garlic and oil, some blanch it and then saute it with garlic and oil.

Everyone except "Lidia Bastianich" does not clean this vegetable properly so I hopped into my home-based kitchen, with my fancy mobile phone and put together a little instructional video to help you.

Before we begin, you will need these ingredients:

1 Bunch of Broccoli Rabe ( peeled and cleaned)

4 Cloves of Fresh Garlic (sliced)

1/4 cups of Olive Oil

1/4 cup of Dry White Wine

1/2 freshly squeezed lemon
